Courtney (Court) Schilt is one of the Directors of the camp.
Court first became associated with the camp coming as a member from the Snowy Range FFA Chapter in Laramie, Wyoming. That was 1980. After 3 years as a camper he returned as a State officer, then as a counselor. In 1986 began assisting in the Directorship of the camp. He has been there in some capacity ever since.
Court’s FFA experience includes a year as a state officer, recipient of the American Farmer Degree, serving as Wyoming’s National officer candidate, helping with state contests, and helping with sound at the Wyoming State Convention.
All total this will be Court’s 22nd year involved with camp. When he’s not at camp he likes to fish, hunt, golf (well, it’s really a cross between golf and gardening), camp, play with his kids, work with wood, and when necessary, work.
Court has worked in many different fields from retail sporting goods sales, to ranching and construction, to working in a pork slaughter house turning out 7500 hogs a day. For the last 10 years he has helped pay the bills by selling, installing and teaching Veterinary Practice management systems.
One of Court’s biggest pieces of advice is, “find peace with yourself, or you won’t find it anywhere.”
